Electrical Safety Inspection following Flood or Fire
Any damage to premises by fire, escape of water or any other major damage such as subsidence, in many cases leads to damage to the electrical installation within the premises.
As result, the installation may become a fire or electric shock hazard.
For your safety, you must have the electrical installation inspected and tested, following any such incident.
BS7671, as well as the health and safety regulations, specify clearly that any installation which has suffered damage as listed above, should be inspected and tested to ensure that it still complies to BS7671 and that is does not present any electric shock hazard or a fire hazard.
If you are unsure as to your duties, under insurance regulations, please contact your insurer and request further information (usually found in the small print of the policy)
We are NICEIC approved contractors and, as such, are qualified to carry out this inspection and testing.
